It was a warm, sunny morning, the harvest was on Myop's minds, and it excited her. Being 10, she was carefree, and one thing she was focused on currently, was her song. She had a stick in her hand which she used to swing at the chickens and make a beat by hitting it on the fence.
Myop left and decided to walk down to the stream behind her house. She saw the area where the pigs rooted, and how the soil was disturbed. She started walking into the woods, feeling as if she knew them well enough. she found diverse plant life, but one unusual kind of blue flower caught her eye.
Myop walked further into the woods, and the land steadily changed like a kaleidoscope. Eventually, she got to a small cove void of all positivity. It was silent, dark, damp, and cast an eerie light on the land.
Frantic to return to the comfort of the land she knew; she started back along the path. While walking, she got her heel lodged in a skull, which caused her to yelp.
After freeing her foot, she started to investigate. She uncovered the rest of the skeleton. The clothes were gone, only some denim was left. The overall buckles had turned green, and the teeth were all either broken or cracked. The skeleton was a rather large one, implying that it was a tall man, who had very long fingers and big bones.
Upon further investigation, she found a pink rose. She picked it and found a raised mound around its roots. The mound was a rotted noose made of plow line. Attached to a tree near her, she spotted another piece of frayed, bleached rope. It spun in the breeze and Myop, realizing what she just found, laid down her flowers and summer was over.
