She's making a career of it as a student at the Medical College of Wisconsin. But she wanted to do more.
"I finally said, sophomore year, if I can't find something, I'll start something."
And this is how the non-profit Designing Dreams become a reality.
Curwick, her mother and some college friends build "Dream Rooms" for kids battling cancer.
"It was fun to take time out of school to paint walls for a day, and go shopping for toys at Target. It was a lot of fun." Curwick said
Each room takes a month or more to design, with the actual install taking about a week before a big reveal. It comes at no cost to the families. The group hopes to create six to eight more rooms this year
