Telemachus sees Eumaeus with a stranger (Odysseus disguised) first after his arrival. After that, Eumaois leaves the two alone while he goes down to tell Penelope of her son's return.
Athena calls Odysseus out of the hut and transforms him from his body to his original form.
Odysseus walks back into the hut. At first, Telemachus cannot believe it, and he thinks Odysseus is a god. Eventually, he and Odysseus son weep for their reunification. Odysseus and Telemachus begins to plot to overthrow the suitors.
before Eumaeus can get to the palace, the crew member from Telemachus' boat tell the people of Telemachus' return.
The suitors conspire to kill Telemachus, but one of the suitors convinces the others they should wait for a sign from the gods.
Penelope finds out about the suitors' plan. Eurymachuslies to her and convinces her that Telemachus is safe.
