French Indian War: It was a war between British and American soldiers vs. the French and Indians. It caused debt, death, and a feeling of revenge.
Proclamation of 1763: Meant that colonist could not settle west of the Appalachian Mountains in order to protect Indian territory. This made the colonist very angry, they thought it was unfair and they defied the proclamation.
Sugar Act: Tax on molasses to pay for the French and Indian War. Lowered duty on French molasses to three pences, they also raised the penalties for smuggling. They still smuggled goods. It made the angry and they thought it was an intrusion
Stamp Act: Tax on all paper used for official documents. It effected everyone, especially those in businesses and legal work. Made the colonist angry
Actions of the Sons of Liberty: They were a result of the stamp act. They had violent protest were they beheaded people, stole, and destroyed property. This led to stamp distributors resigning, and the Declaratory act.
