Hello young man! My name is Santiago Peña, and I am the 52nd president of this beautiful country Paraguay. I have been since 2023.
I'm planning to improve the democratic system. From 1954 to 1989, Paraguay was under a dictatorship, and even though we have been democratic since, there are still many ways to improve after realizing that democracy is a much better system for Paraguay.
That's so cool! What kind of stuff do you plan to do as a president?
Hello Mister! Why are you wearing a fancy suit at the park?
The language most used in Paraguay is Spanish, so many of the families have Spanish speaking households.
Ooo, ¿Qué es el día de San Blas? (What is Day Of Saint Blaise?)
(My son, it is a celebration for all that is good in our Paraguayan culture. Long ago when many people, our ancestors in Ciudad del Este, were very ill and prayed for Saint Blas to help them. They were cured and he is now our patron saint, all across the nation.)
mamá, mamá!
¿Qué es mijo? Estoy ocupada haciendo la sopa, la chipa y las empanadas para el Día de San Blas. (What is it dear? I'm busy making the soup, the chipa, and the empanadas for Dia de San Blas (Day of Saint Blaise).)

Thanks for spending the day with me, learning about Paraguay's culture and President. Oh, and before you go, did you know that the capital of Paraguay is Asunción? That's where my family and I live. Asunción is one of the oldest cities in South America, and is known as "The Mother of Cities."
