Hi! I'm Paleolithic Pat! In the Paleolithic age, people used caves or rough, tent-like structures for their shelters! These shelters were in fact temporary because we are nomads! That means we moved around often and don't have a specific location for our shelters.

We build permanent shelters. We build our houses with mud packed bricks that are usually round or rectangular. Sometimes, me and my friends stick branches and rocks against the bricks to make the walls stronger.
Hi! I'm Neolithic Nat! And this is my baby brother Neolithic Nate! I'm giving him a tour of our new house, and what it looks like!
The most important job of Paleolithic people is having and finding enough food for their community. Having jobs is very important because having jobs gave everyone a purpose to live.
I am a weaver. I weave baskets for gathering.
We are toolmakers. We make tools for many purposes!
One very important resource that Paleolithic people use is trading. People brought back flint and obsidian. People also used hematite, which makes things red if dabbed on.

The development of permanent shelters were important because houses gave people protection from harsh weather and wild animals that could harm them or take their food. It made their long life more comfortable and making them able to make and store food in new ways. It also helped them bond and settle for longer bigger communities.
The development of different jobs were important because it helps inspire people workers and improve their skills with what they do. Having lot's of ideas added on to a better life for the community and their surroundings.
In the Neolithic age, people traded items to make things more amusing to the eye that they did not already have. Trading was important because it helped people expand resources and ideas that they would not have known otherwise. It helped people be more aware and informed about other cultures etc.
