Exposition- HAzel and George Begerson are watching television in their living room.
Rising Action- George and Hazel are watching a ballet performance on television. The ballerinas are handicapped and wear masks to disguise their looks. An announcement comes on tv that Harrison Bergeron (their son) has escaped prison and his really tall, strong, and good looking, This will throw off the government's plan for equality.
Climax- During the announcement, Harrison bursts into the studio, rips of his handicaps, and shouts "I am the emperor!" He then calls for an empress and one of the ballerinas joins him. He frees the musicians, and asks them to play music, and then him and the ballerina start dancing.
Falling Action- During their dance, the handicap general comes and shoots both Harrison and the ballerina. The tv at the Bergerson's blacks out.
Resolution- Hazel sees their son die on screen, but forgets because of her handicap. She's crying and doesn't know why. She is worried about the tv. George missed his son's death because he went to the kitchen for a drink.
