  • I really would like to have the students review multiplying decimals because I feel like quite a few are still struggling. 
  • I feel that it could be very beneficial to do some peer tutoring.
  • The question is what type of peer tutoring should we do. There are so many options to choose from. 
  • In this case, due to the high number of SWD in the class, I think Same Age Peer Tutoring would be a good choice.
  • SAPT would allow me to break the students up so that the students that are struggling can have a higher-level student there to help them through the problems.
  • Students today I will be breaking you up into groups of two so you can work on reviewing multiplying decimals.
  • Please remember to be respectful and helpful to each other. Be open to giving and receiving feedback.
  • Each group will get flashcards and a whiteboard. 
  • You will take turns quizzing each other. 
  • I will put an outline on the board for you.
  • 1. Break up into your groups.  2. Get flashcards and whiteboard 3.Decide who will quiz first 4. Help partner when needed ASK QUESTIONS &be positive
  • Good Job everyone! Be sure to switch roles also.

  • I don't really understand how to multiply by 1,000.
