A king told a mother that her two, demi-god, baby boys would have to be executed because of a prophecy that stated they would overthrow him when the two grew up.
The woman sent her boys down a river in a basket, hoping they would be found by a new family. A female wolf found them and dragged the basket out of the river.
The wolf brought the twin boys to a Shepard's farm where the Shepard and his wife found the babies and took them in as their own.
Romulus and Remus grew up to be fine young men and were planning to rule a city together.
One day they got in a fight over some pans for some plans for their new city. Romulus ended up killing Remus.
Romulus started and ruled the city by himself and named it Rome, after himself.
