  • Hey, did you know that chemical change occurs when molecules change to a new substance.
  • no i have never knew that. But what does that have to do with fire?
  • well, when paper burns, it is a chemical change because the molecules change to a new substance, ash.
  • WHOA, that’s pretty cool.
  • also, another example of a chemical change is when you start a fire, you put wood right
  • so wood turns into ashes to, you just don’t see it because the ashes are too small.

  • oh yeah i forgot to tell you about a physical change
  • what's a physical change
  • how does that happened 
  • oh i get it now
  • for example, when you crumble up a piece of paper, it is still a piece of paper.

  • a physical change is when matter changes but it is still the same substance.
