During the middle of the 1800s the LONGHORN appeared in Texas. The new breed of cattle developed. U.S. settlers brought a mixed breed of spanish and english cattle. Their use of long legs were used to travel really long distances. Their use of horns were to fight off animals.
The bloom led to the depletion of the field. Spindletop were not producing as much as they used to. The pricing of the oil dropped because they were not selling anything at the price the oil barrels were at and the company also thought by dropping the price they would sell more barrels. After they dropped the pricing, the barrels retail price was 3¢. When companies changed the names, the businesses grep really fast and continuously.
Railroads provided a cheaper way to send away cotton to popular stores. The bales of cotton more than tripled after the railroads were put in. The railroads basically made it easier for cotton companies to get more sales. Railroad companies also decided to start shipping all types of fruit.
