Of Mice and Men Storyboard #2
Yo Steve, what is the main theme of Of Mice and Men?
Curleys wife uses many black slang terms such as "the negro stable buck" and "n****r", to discriminate Crook from the rest of them.
The theme is discrimination. An example of discrimination is Crooks because of his african american culture and dark skin tone.

The other guys offend Curley's wife sexually by calling her names that are offensive to women. Don't you remember that?
Ya, I remember that! One of them stated "Don't even take a look at that b***h. I don't care what she says and what she does."
The others believe Candy's dog is too old and sweaty to still be alive, so they begin to pressure him to kill his dog. One of the guys says, "Whyn't you get Candy to shoot his old dog...." showing an example of ageism.
Those aren't the only discrimination problems that occurred in the story. There are plenty of more!
