Not much is known about Henry Hudson's childhood but from what historians can infer, Hudson had a very good education. He was born in 1565. Some researchers believe that his father worked for a very big trading company and that Hudson was a cabin boy.
Since Hudson helped his father on ships when they went to trade with other countries, he learned all the basic neccesseities of how to be a good voyager. He learned how to cook, handle sails, care for a ship, and keep a ships log. He was also able to learn how to navigate through the sea. There is no exact date, but it was said that he married a woman named Katherin and they had three sons. His three sons were Oliver, John, and Richard.

In the end, Hudson discovered various water routes in North America. Many of the places he explored are now named after him. Hudson left a mark on many places and stood as a great explorer to find new land.
