Storyboard Text

  • Once upon a time, a volcano erupted in the middle of a field. Magma was erupted out, it cooled and formed our rock protagonist, Ignatius.
  • For a long time Ignatius he was fine. Until nature caught up with him. He was weathered and eroded away into little pieces of sediment. This process took many years.
  • He was then deposited down a river. Then over millions of years, more rocks combined, and compacted with him to form a new rock, a sedimentary rock. Ignatius was reborn.
  • Ignatius was happy as a sedimentary rock, until one day he was pushed underground from pressure and many other processes. Ignatius started to change.
  • He was pushed further and further. Being exposed to pressure and heat over millions of years. Finally, he was pushed back up, but he was different. Ignatius was now a metamorphic rock.
  • Ignatius thought that this was the end of his journey but he was wrong. He was pushed down even further down than before.  He started to melt.
  • To Be continued
