  • I'm so stressed, I can't focus and do my work well. I also feel like I'm never in a happy mood anymore. I should learn how to deal with my stress. 
  • Identify 
  • Access 
  • Ways to cope with stress: -Exercise -Sleep -Eat Well
  • Practice x2
  • Eliza identified that coping with stress as behavior she wants to work on 
  • Explain 
  • Eliza looked up ways to cope with stress on line. She plans to go to the gym three times a week and to set a time to go to bed every night to ensure a good night's rest.  
  • Assess
  • Now that I am managing my stress well I work better and I have been in a great mood!
  • Eliza goes to the gym three times a week to workout and makes sure she stretches (health enhancing behavior) and avoids using equipment she does not know how to use (risky behavior). 
  • Reflect 
  • I can totally keep this going, I already feel so much better!
  • Eliza explains to her friends how she is dealing with her stress and they offer to workout with her and tell her that she can always talk to them when she is stressed out. 
  • After a month Eliza evaluates her stress levels over the course of the past few weeks. She realizes that the exercise and good nights of sleep have made her improve at work and she is in a happier mood. 
  • Eliza reflects on her behavior change and asks herself if she can keep on going it.
