  • Bath time munchkin.
  • The Day In the Life as a High Priest. 
  • Ah, the fresh scent of fresh water.
  • Back to work.
  • its so hot outside!!
  • The High Priest should be waking up now.
  • The sun is rising.
  • In the morning, The high priest would wake up. Say a prayer, Light a candle to walk the god out. Clean the sacred statue and then ask the god if he needed anything.
  • Do you need anything, Father?
  • Praying to the god, Thank you for a good day yesterday and today, thank you for  the food we get everyday, Thank you for giving me the honor to be a high priest.  Amen
  • High priests worked around the temples, cleaning and managing it 
  • Okay, sir.
  • The temple looks good. Tell everyone who's outside, that I want to have a chat with them.
  • Preforming Rituals were daily.  Every morning the high priest would enter the sanctuary and anoint the god's statue with sacred oil and perfume. He would then put ceremonial clothing and paint on the statue. After that he would make offerings of food such as bread, meat, and fruit. 
  • This is the first ritual of the day.  
  • Priests were generally only permitted to wear linen clothing and white papyrus sandals when tending a god.  priests wore a leopard skin over their linen clothing which was held in position by a strap over one shoulder.
  • You're not in trouble. I just need to ask you all a few questions.
  • Good job, Son. You are now free to leave for the  night. Meet us in the dining room later today for a feast.
  • Since High Priests were more rich they had feasts a lot. At feasts some of the food they would  eat fresh fruit and meat like sheep and goat.
  • Yum this looks so good!
  • Other rituals and offerings would be made throughout the day in shrines outside the inner sanctuary. Rituals sometimes included music and hymns
  • Time to grab the sacred oil and perfume.
  • Ugh the first rituals are always the hardest.
  • The Pharaoh has to ask the people some questions.
  • Yikes, i'm so hungry!
  • High priests were usually old and wise, High priests also usually have a family.
