  • The French and Indian War was a conflict between Britain and France.
  • It was a war to decide which nation would control the land
  • Benjamin Franklin proposed the Albany Plan of Union which was the form of alliance for own defense.
  • The Treaty of Paris ended the war in 1763
  • The treaty gave Britain land in Canada 
  • Frame 1: The French and Indian War was a fight over land.
  • Frame 2: The French and Indian War began in 1754, and lasted until 1763.
  • Frame 3: Most of the fighting took place between the Ohio and Mississippi rivers (Ohio Valley).
  • Frame 4: The treaty made France give up all their territories, ending any foriegn military.
  • Frame 5: Britian imposed the Proclamation of 1763 on the colonists which prohibited American colonists from settling west of Appalachia. 
  • Frame 6: The war cost Britain a lot of money so they started to tax colonists. The colonists became angry.
