Man vs. Man
Verbal Irony- When then cameraman walked up to granny without acknowledging her, she said "g'mornin." but we could tell she wasn't being friendly.
Conflict- The cameraman is taking pictures of Granny and her home without permission.
Granny says "Go tell that man we ain't a bunch of trees" She is comparing her and her family to trees.
Figurative Language- " Granny was making the cakes drunk." The narrator thinks Granny is getting the cake "drunk" when, in fact, she is just making rum cakes.
Theme- Respect other people and their property and privacy.
Sarcasm- "There's a story I'm going to write one day," say Cathy dreamer, "About the proper use of a hammer." Cathy is being sarcastic and joking about how Granddaddy Cain used the hammer.
