  • THEME 1~ POWER

  • THEME 2~ FEAR

  • THEME 2~ FEAR
  • Fire represents the theme power because the boys on the island need fire for many things on the island. Fire has the power of being rescued and the power of cooking food in order to eat.
  • THEME 2~ FEAR
  • I don't want to be on this island forever! This island is full of my fears including not being rescued.
  • What if we never get rescued? I am scared that we won't be rescued and we will be here forever.
  • The Lord of the Flies represents fear because the boys had various fears on the island and the pig and on the stick was representing the hardships and fears that the boys had.
  • The Beast supports the theme of fear because many of the boys had a major fear of the Beast. The Beast caused lots of commotion on the island and was feared by the majority of the boys.
  • The last thing that supports the theme fear is the fear of not getting rescued off of the island. The boys on the island have the fear of not being rescued from the place that is filled with the rest of their fears.
