  • Montgomery bus boycott-The Montgomery bus boycott happened in Alabama in December,15 1955. A political protest of segregation.
  • Selma March-In 1965 along 54 mile highway in Selma,Alabama to Montgomery the capital of Alabama. It was a group of demonstraters faced violence as attempted to march for the right to vote for African Americans.
  • Little rock school crisis- AT little rock central high school in 1957 students of the high school tried to make African american students enroll at the school after this event schools were segregated yet again.
  • Freedom riders- On May 4th,1961-December 10,1961 Civil rights activists rode interstate buses into segregated southern united states.
  • Sit in movement-On February 1st 1960 in Greensboro, North Carolina African American students staged a sit in at the cafeteria as apart of the civil rights movements.
  • Million Man March- On October 16,1965 in Washington DC African American men told everybody segregation was wrong, this was started by Louis Farrakhan.
