  • War On Drugs Through the Years
  • Drug abuse is a serious national threat.
  • It doesn't seem that bad. None of the people we know do drugs.
  • 1960's
  • Public Enemy number 1 in the U.S. is drug abuse.
  • President Nixon is right. It seems like all of the kids are doing acid these days.
  • 1970's
  • Just say no!
  • Nancy Regan is right, its so easy to say no to drugs. We need to keep the youth of America educated.
  • 1980's
  • Thanks to the '94 Crime Bill, 3 strikes and you're out!
  • This new bill seems kind of strict. There has to be a better way to deal with this drug problem.
  • 1990's
  • We will be involved in the U.S Embassy Kabul Counternarcotics Implementation Plan. This will reduce heroine production in Afghanistan which is the worlds leading opium producer.
  • DEA
  • Finally we are doing something real about this drug problem.
  • 2000's
  • After 40 years and over $1 trillion dollars, the US war on drugs has failed to meet any of its goals.
  • I really thought we were getting somewhere as a country with this issue.
