Storyboard Text

  • "I pray thee, good Mercutio, let's retire.  The day is hot, the Capels are abroad..." (3.1.1-2).
  •  No, I am ready to battle.  I am going to fight with the Capulets.
  • "O calm, dishonorable, vile submission!" (3.1.74)
  • No, stop fighting!
  • No, Mercutio! I shall take revenge and kill Tybalt!
  • Romeo... Why'd you try to stop us...
  • Tybalt! You villain.  You shall die!
  • "Thou, wretched boy, that didst consort him here, Shalt with him hence" (3.1.135-136).
  • Romeo killed Tybalt, who's right here, but he did that because Tybalt killed Mercutio, who was Romeo's friend.
  • What happened? Where's the murderer?
  • What happened here Benvolio?
  • Okay, so we won't kill Romeo.  However, we will exile him from Verona.
