  • SEAT BELT SAFETY: SEE PRESTON FOR MORE INFO
  • SAFETY FIRST FOR TEEN DRIVERS
  • Seat Belt Safety Remember to Buckle Luck!
  • Hi there I'm Preston! Lets go through the reasons why teens need to wear seat-belts.
  • I heard that one of the reasons of wearing seat belts can increase chances of surviving a crash.
  • Seat belts prevent drivers and passengers from being ejected during a crash.
  • You should always wear your safety belt no matter where you are seated in the car.
  • For maximum protection, the safety belt should be positioned under jackets, coats, sweaters, etc., as low on the hips or thighs as possible.
  •  In 2009 alone, crashes killed over 33,000 people and injured another 2.2 million—more than 70% of these were in passenger vehicles and trucks.

  •  People not wearing a seat belt are 30 times more likely to be ejected from a vehicle during a crash.

  • More than 3 out of 4 people who are ejected during a fatal crash die from their injuries.
