Goodbye to Lob
Goodbye Lob :(
On a Summer day Sandy went to the beach with her family. And suddenly a dog named Lob jumped on her, after a while they played together until they became friends, until the owner of the dog came.
A Second Reunion & Growing up
Take care of him.
A sudden crashing sound comes from the kitchen. Lob has somehow found their home and decided to come in through the open kitchen window. This is the first sign of Lob's determination. He will not let anything stand between him and Sandy. He covers Sandy and the twins with enthusiastic licks.
Remember that truck that overtook us half a mile back, speeding like the devil?
Mrs. Pengelly tells the children to ignore Lob. Sandy sneaks along so she can have one last look at Lob. Knowing that her parents would not want her to make Lob's departure any more difficult, she stays out of sight. At the train station Lob looks thoroughly dejected.
Lob is back at the Pengellys' house.Mr. Dodsworth says that the Pengelly family is welcome to keep Lob if they promise to take care of him.For the next nine years Lob acts as Sandy's near-constant companion.
9 years Later...
Aunt Becky does not want to be alone, Mrs. Pengelly asks Sandy to walk up to her aunt's house. The storm breaks over the town, and there comes the Accident. Dr. Travers and his wife, Emily, are driving when Emily spots a girl lying in the ditch by the road.
Granny Pearce recognized lob outside the hospital. She insist that Lob should be allowed to see Sandy the same as any other member of her family. Mr. Pengelly responds that the dog she brought into the room could not have been Lob. Lob is dead. They found Lob's body near where Sandy was hit; he had been killed immediately on impact with the truck.
