A barbaric king lives in a kingdom with his beloved daughter. In the kingdom, there is an arena where prisoners go and must pick between two doors. One door leads to a ferocious tiger, while the other door leads to a beautiful lady that the prisoner must marry.
The king's daughter falls in love with a young man, They try to keep their relationship a secret, but the king eventually finds out about the affair and sends the young man to the arena.
The princess knows which door contains the tiger and which door contains the lady, and she must choose between which of the two doors she directs her lover. She loves him very much, but she is jealous of the lady behind the other door.
The princess directs the man to the door of the tiger! The tiger leaps upon the young man and kills him, leaving everyone stunned and dismal.
The princess is in despair at the loss of the young man, and decides to take it out on the king. She presents him with a cup of poison, which he begrudgingly accepts and drinks.
The king dies from the poison and is buried in the countryside. The princess takes over the kingdom, executes the lady she envied, and establishes a morally-accepted system of law.
