  •
  • Meeting Cherry
  • Johnny kills bob
  • Ponyboy, is a young teen with good grades and is a greaser, the bottom class of people. Right now he's going to a drive-in with his friends, Johnny and Dally.
  • The rumble
  • When the crew arrive at the drive-in, they meet Cherry who is a Soc(basically the top class of people). She's "good looking" as described by Ponyboy. Pony tell Cherry about the Johnny's jumping while walking home.
  • A theme
  • Thing ARE rough all over.
  • It's 2:30 at the park, it's cold and dark. Then out of nowhere, a blue mustang appears, the mustang that the Soc's have. The Soc's find Ponyboy and Johnny. Bob( one of the Soc's) grabs Ponyboy and starts drowning him. Just a second before Ponyboy ran out of breath, Johnny pulls out his pocket knife, and kills Bob.
  • The moral
  • Johnny is in critical condition after him and Ponyboy saved kindergarteners from a fire. Everybody views Ponyboy and Johnny as heroes. A few hours before the rumble, Randy (Soc) talks to Ponyboy and tells him he's not going to the rumble. Chery tells the greasers about the rules. The rumble begins at night and after a bit the greasers won, but Johnny dies shortly after.
  • Ponyboy realizes people are too quick to judge, and that Greasers and Soc's aren't that different. Johnny teaches everyone that life goes and too quick, so enjoy it while you can.
  • Ponyboy tells the crew about Johnny's death, and Dally disappears. Dally robs a store and got himself into trouble. Dally got cornered so he pulled out a gun and gets shot, he dies and Ponyboy passes out. Ponyboy finds a letter in Johnny's copy of gone with the wind and reads it, and he starts his theme for school about his life experiences.
