Today in this presentation we will be viewing the effects and impacts of irragation on the water cycle
The main goal is to provide enough water for plants to grow. In parts very dry parts of New Zealand farms have massive demands for water to irragate there crops. This big demand on water has an impact on water quantity. People are taking water from streams and lakes and the ground water levels are being slowly depleted.
watering crops and pumping water for irragation increase the probality for a drought to happern in certain regions but it also has effects on the distrubution of nutrients in the soil. plants try to extract nutrients from water but to much water plant is unable to gather the nutrients with a surpluss amount of water. Water effects areas that it flows to with its nutrients.
