  • Chris cannot handle all of the signs (another sensory overload but not the one we are looking at) "... I looked round the big room at all the signs to see if this was London. And the signs said... But after a few seconds they looked like this... because there were too many and my brain wasn't working properly..." (pgs 169-170)
  • This is the closest I could get to escalators
  • A lady at the help desk tells Chris how to get to his mother's house "And the lady said 'Take the tube to Willesden Junction honey..." (pg 172)
  • Chris navigates through the tube and figures out where to go "And there was another sign for Bakerloo line and it looked like this..." (pg 174)
  • Never make me use this again it is slower than a rock covered in molasses and when I took a break for dinner I lost all my progress from after school even though I saved
  • Chris goes down a escalator and doesn't like being near everyone/anyone "... I had to hold on to the rubber rail but it moved too so I didn't fall over and people were standing close to me and I wanted to hit them to make them go away but I didn't..." (pg 175)
  • Chris had trouble doing anything because of all of the noise and people "And I felt like when I felt when I had the flu and I had to stay in bed all day and all of me hurt and I couldn't walk or eat, or go to sleep or do maths" (pg 176)
  • Chris blacks out for 5 hours "So I opened my eyes and looked at my watch and it said 8:07 p.m. and I had been sitting on the bench for approximately 5 hours but it hadn't seemed like approximately 5 hours..." (pg 180)
