Beowulf was form the ordinary world of Geatland. For years he had her the terrorizing stories of Grendel.
Meeting with Mentor
Beowulf knew he had to help the Geat's from the terror that was Grendel. He gather his best men and sailed across the see to help and fight the monster, as he had done many times.
Crossing the First Threshold
Beowulf had not refused to fight the beast, with his fourteen best men, Beowulf went to the king of the Danes, King Hrothrag, to ask for his permission to find and kill Grendel and he grants him his permission.
Test, Allies and Enemies
Beowulf's did not need a mentor, he had the strength of 30 men on each arm.
Beowulf's first threshold is crossing the ocean with his army form Geatland to Denmark.
Beowulf biggest enemy is Grendel, when in battle, Beowulf rips off Grendel's hand with his bare hands. He later has to fight Gredel's mother and the dragon. Yet Beowulf greatest allied is Wiglaf that has fought next to his side.
