King Acrisius, ruler of Argos, father to Danae and the grandfather to Perseus, ask an Oracle foreteller if he will possessed any future descendants.
Fear of this prophecy he lock his daughter Danae away in a dungeon, safe from any mortal from laying with her.
However that never stop the all mighty Zeus from gaining her attention. Taking the form a golden shower which she loved the most, Zeus enter into her dungeon and got her pregnant.
Danae try to keep the baby a secret, but King Acrisius find out about child. Locking her and the baby in a wooden chest before then throwing them in the river. Off to sea far away from Argos.
As the wooden chest drift ashore it reaches the island of Serphos. Upon awaking Danae was greeted by a young fishermen of the named Dictys.
Unfortunately, his brother Polydectes, took an interest for the young lady Danae. And so welcome her and her child home into his palace. Where the two would live happily under Polydectes protection.....
