I was actually one of them.
Everyday in 7th grade, before I go to school, I would always skip breakfast. You ask why? Because I usually don't feel hungry and sometimes feel like I would need to rush to school.
When classes are in session, I cannot concentrate well on doing my assignments because I feel very hungry and low on energy like I want to sleep.
Until one day in 8th grade, I tried eating school breakfast. This was when I started to realize that eating breakfast was really important because it kept me away from feeling hungry and helped me stay awake to focus when hearing instructions and doing the work. I also realized that I got my work done faster and became less moody because the food that I ate gave me a lot of energy and brain power to function well in class. My grades even started to improve by 20% from 7th to 8th grade. Eating breakfast on school days made it easier for me when I got used to eating a light amount of food in the morning even when I have the lack of appetite.
