censorship is mainly a bad thing in my opinion however is it a violation of rights? well that depends as in some cases it is however in others it is not. in cases such as political or moral censorship it is however in cases such as military censorship it isn't.
there is one type of censorship that i believe is useful and that is military censorship. military censorship is when the government eliminates words from newscast and letters during wartime to prevent enemies from learning about the military's location or strategies. In my opinion this is the only time censorship is beneficial and not a violation of rights.
while censorship has its uses it also has many negatives to it for example political censorship is when someone in power say a dictator bans the voicing of opposing views. In my opinion something like that shouldn't be a thing overall censorship has many downs with few upsides and i dont believe it is useful save for a single situation.
