  • Hello students, today we are going to explain how racism plays in our society.
  • Miss, what is racism?
  • Racism is the oppression of people based on the people of color based on the society
  • Miss, how does racism work?
  • Racism can take place many different ways of happening in many different places, it includes hatred for someone, discrimination, and prejudice. It is something that shouldn't of happened in history.
  • Our example today about racism is, back hundreds of years ago, the south made a law to use the people of color as slaves, they had to work hard and didn't get treated nicely. The slaves didn't get paid for their hard work.
  • Yes, I agree with that. I learned so much about racism today but its time to go home and i'm going to research more about the slaves Miss was talking to us about,
  • That was cruel back then, I don't know why people treat the people of color differently, it makes no sense. Were all humans and deserve the same chance at life and the equal amount of opportunities.
  • Bye, well see each other at school tomorrow! Have a nice night.
