Abigail admits she was involved with witchcraft and she starts to name other women who have claimed to see the Devil. As Abigail is saying all of this, Betty wakes up and joins in and starts to chant the women's names who have supposedly seen the devil.

Mary returns to the house and gives Elizabeth Proctor a doll that she made in court. Mary tells Elizabeth that she was accused in court, but Mary testified against it and defended Elizabeth.
Abigail, Tituba, Betty, Mercy, Ruth and Mary went out into the forest in the middle of the night. They were all dancing. Abigail drank blood and cursed Elizabeth Proctor to die so that she could have John Proctor. Tituba and Ruth were conjuring spirits.
Mr. Hale shows up and starts to question the Proctors. John tells him that the girls that are accusing others are liars. Hale starts to doubt the accusers' claims.
Betty has been in a "coma" because she has supposedly been witched. Abigail tries to convince John Proctor that they should still be together but John rejects her and tells her that he regrets having an affair and that he wants to be loyal to his wife.
"Give me a word, John. A soft word."
