Hello, and welcome to the Indus Valley! Located in present day Pakistan. The Indus Valley was in tact 5000 years ago. One of the biggest parts that makes the Indus valley such a great place is the Indus river! It supplies us fertile soil and fresh water! Lets take a look at what the Indus Valley was like.
Lets talk about houses. Houses in the Indus Valley were important because for a lot of people their houses were like their workshops.
A lot of people also spent time on their roofs. This is because it was actually a nice spot to sleep and hang out with friends and family.
For keeping clean we stand on a shower tray and pour water on ourselves using a bucket. The dirty water flowed out through the pipes till it reached the drain in the streets.
This is the Great Bath. The Great Bath is the perfect place to come and relax. The Indus Valley uses it most as a pool and for religious rituals.
Since most people in the Indus Valley can't write for labels we use things called seals.

Seals are like price tags. If you pressed it in soft clay it leaves a copy of itself on it. Once the clay dried and hardened you could tie it to things like pots or food containers.
Seals can also be used as labels. Maybe to show ownership to something. A lot of seals also have animals on them.
Would you like to trade your pot for these necklaces?
