  • You all suck. You useless peasants. We will never give you a say in the government!
  • No you!
  • The Third Estate had made demands to have more say in the French Government. They believed this because they made up 97% of the population and essentially had zero say. The store owners and working class who lived in Paris wanted to do something about it so they stormed the Bastille.
  • About 1000 men turned up to storm the Bastille. They were mostly men of the working class in Paris. It was rumored that their were political prisoners inside the Bastille. During the storming, about 100 revolutionary men were killed.
  • In the aftermath of the events 4 government official men were killed by the revolutionaries. The storming of Bastille was an eye opening event that lead to a series of events that led to the overthrow and death of King Louis XVI. The courage and grit of the men who stormed gave hope to the rest of the people of France.
