During the Paleolithic Age people lived in caves or hand made tents, this were temporary shelters because, Paleolithic people hunted and gathered plants to eat so if they lived permanently in a place they wouldn't give time for plants to grow or animals to have there baby's so they moved from one place to another for there safety.

During the Neolithic Age as people started farming they had shelters that were more permanent. In many areas there used mud bricks packed together to build rectangular or circular houses. They also started having larger communities it also protected people more.
