Storyboard Text

  • "Come, you spirits that tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here, and fill me from the crown to the toe top-full of direst cruelty. Make thick my blood" (1.5.47-50).This quote represents both a gender and a supernatural motif. Lady Macbeth speaks out to the supernatural and asks that they unsex her and not associate her with any feminine traits. Macbeth challenges gender roles by saying this.
  • "As we shall make our griefs and clamor roar upon his death?" (1.7.90-91)."False face must hide what the false heart doth know" (1.7.95-96).Macbeth and Lady Macbeth both agree upon the plan to kill Duncan.
