#### Storyboard Text

• Newton's 1st Law
• Newton's 2nd Law
• Newton's 3rd Law
• An object in motion will stay in motion unless acted upon by an Unbalanced force. (The man in the brown jacket is being blocked by the man in the blue shirt)
• Net Force
• The acceleration of an object is depends on the net force acting upon the object and the mass of the object. (The hare has a greater force acting upon it with a lower mass, while the tortoise has a lower Force acting upon it with a higher mass, meaning the hare is faster)
• Mass
• For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. (As the man jumps off of the raft, he moves forward, while the raft moves backwards)
• Friction
• The sum of all the forces that act upon an object. (The net Force of the square is 6 N to the right because 10 N - 4 N = 6N)
• 10 N
• 4 N
• A coherent, typically large body of matter with no definite shape. (The bigger square weighs 100 kg and the smaller square weighs 25 kg)
• 100 kg
• 25 kg
• The resistance that one surface or object encounters when moving over another. (As the car drives along the road, the tires are applying a force. As that force is applied, the road applies force in the opposite direction. This is what keeps cars from sliding off of the road)
