FateThe witch sisters tell Macbeth that he will be the Thane of Cawdor and the King. This is basically the witches telling Macbeth his fate. He doesn't believe them at first but then moments later he is told that he is now the Thane of Cawdor due to the previous Thane of Cawdor being a traitor.
