  • Junior's family moves out of the country and into the city. Papa claims it was to be closer to his new job but Junior finds out its about his parents wanting him to learn how to speak English.
  • Climax
  • I understand there's a nice movie in town where the boys go Saturday afternoons
  • On his first day of school Junior gets  in a fight with a third grade boy named Chango. After the fight Chango decides Junior is tough and invites Junior into his gang. The gang, the Los Indios, go and watch movies together. They cheer for the Mexicans and the Indian. The Los Indios do everything together like walk home and get into fights
  • Falling Action
  • Soon in Junior's neighborhood a family from Oklahoma moves in. The next week the Los Indios are walking home and spot a little white boy (Junior's new neighbor) and they decide to beat him up because he's the enemy. The boy, John Wayne as they call him, gets away. Everyday after school they do that until they finally beat him up. 
  • Resolution
  • One night Junior and John Wayne have a conversation together and then their mothers decide they should hang out sometime. Mama agrees and suggests that Denver (John Wayne) join the Los Indios at the movies on Saturday. Junior is angry and throws a fit but he stil has to go with Denver.
  • It would be nice for the boys to go together.
  • Junior finally takes Denver to the movies with him because the Los Indios are counting on him and he can't stay home. Denver is also not happy to go to the movie with Junior. When they get there the Los Indios are not happy about Denver being there but then Junior sticks up for him.
  • He's an Indian from Oklahoma.
  • The boys then have Denver pay for their candy with a dime that he has. Then they have Denver talk Indian. He makes up something and the boys then go into the theater. They accept Denver after he shouts "¡Maten los gringos!" unknowing that it means kill the white people. In the end Junior learns that you shouldn't judge people on what color they are and who you think they are until you actually talk to them.
