Storyboard Text

  • As the story goes, every town in ancient Greece wanted a God to watch over them.
  • Most Gods did not like to share and some Gods had preferences.
  • For Example, Poseidon, God of the Sea, preferred coastal towns to watch over.
  • I'm always on the lookout for coastal towns as I am the God of the Sea!
  • As Poseidon stated, He loved coastal towns but so did Athena.
  • I love coastal towns and I want to look after this coastal village that just popped up but I won't share with anyone.
  • So they decided that they will both give the village a gift and whichever was better, would look after the town.
  • I will gift a large flowing stream of water!
  • I will gift a big beautiful olive tree!
  • The water from the stream is salt water!
  • The village had a very hard time choosing which gift the preferred.
  • We can eat the olives and use the wood from the tree to make houses!
  • I prefer Athena's gift but we can't anger the God of the Sea.
  • But Poseidon had already sent enormous waves towards the village with his laughter.
  • I have already Chosen the winner. You win Athena! This coastal town shall be called Athens.
