  • Snow is a great way to start off the week.
  • Date: December 15th 2018
  • Today we are going to talk about the Naturalization process.
  • Please welcome Zinnia from The Isle of Man in Northern Europe
  • But we also have a special guest to explain the Naturalization process for us from experience.
  • Date: December 15th 2018
  • Hi I'm Zinnia. I had to go through the Naturalization process to become a U.S. citizen. The first step I had to do was submit an application.
  • Date: December 15th 2018
  • The second step that I had to do was be 18 years of age or older, I had to at least be a legal residence in the country for 5 years or be here for at least 3 months, I had to have good moral character and not be convicted of certain crimes, Have loyalty to the principals of the U.S. Constitution, have the ability to read, speak, and write in English, have knowledge of the history and form of government of the U.S.
  • Thank you all for letting me explain the Naturalization process. Have a good day
  • The last and final step is I had to appear in citizenship court, the USCIS then responded to me, then I have to take an oath of loyalty to the U.S. Then if you pass which in my case I did I received a certificate of citizenship.
  • That lesson about the Naturalization process was so cool I wish we could do it again!
