Evie didn't invite Mal to her birthday party. Mal has had this grudge on her for ten years. It wasn't Evie's fault it was her mothers. So, because Mal doesn't like Evie, she did a little payback. So she invited her to a party at Carlos's (Cruella De Vil's son) house. She then trapped her in Cruella De vil's closet. This closet is filled with traps. Luckily, Carlos saves her and she doesn't get hurt. Then they make some tweaks into Carlos's invention. This is the invention that ripped the barrier and awakened Maleficent's staff.
Who should I be. What should I do?
"Mal had her gang of thieves"(pg. 204). Jay, someone she can trust. Carlos, the brains. And the person who is tricked in Mal's plan, Evie. They got their map. These guys are (or at least try to be) hardcore. Will this help them with their quest on finding the Dragon's Eye, Maleficent's staff? Will Mal's trap, trying to make Evie fall asleep for a thousand years by touching the staff, work? Will her mother (finally) be proud of her, or forever stay disappointed?
I cant believe I don't know that much about you.
The finally made it to Maleficent's throne. They realize the scepter has to be far away so no one can reach it, but still be close enough so Maleficent can see it from her throne. They search and then Evie finds it. She starts to reach to it. Inching closer. Mal was . . . hesitant. She didn't know what to do. After getting to know Evie she didn't know if she should go through with this. In the end she didn't. She couldn't. She told Evie what the staff does. Evie then figures out whwhy Mal brought her on the trip. They finally worked out the grudge they had and became frenemies. When Mal got home her mother was so disappointed. Mal got over it though. She realized that Mal will never be enough for Maleficent. Maleficent tells her daughter "'Well, good job, you You really are as soft as your father.'"
"'And I think we can come to a simple agreement.'"
Ben just had his meeting. He is thinking of how badly he went. He can't be his father, he doesn't know how, no matter how hard he tries. "Beats pulled Ben up by the arm, closing his hand around his son's. 'There. Strong. Powerful. Kingly.'"(pg. 54) He's like his mother. Gentle, kind, and respectful. Should he go with her advice? "'Ben. You don't have to be another King Beast. Just be yourself-it's more than enough.'"(pg.51) On the other hand, he doesn't want to let his father down. What will he do? His actions ringing in his head. "'ENOUGH!' he yelled from the top of the table." (pg. 106)
Ben meets with his girlfriend, Audrey. Audrey is the daughter of Aurora. she was stunning, the prettiest in the kingdom. They were talking in the garden after Ben's (bad) meeting. She surprises him with a picnic. She doesn't get what Ben is going through. Her life is perfect. Ben realizes that they didn't deserve this perfect life. He starts to feel bad about the people on the Isle of the Lost. Ben thinks that their kids shouldn't suffer for something their parents did. Audrey strongly disagrees, stating what they did to her mother. Ben has never seen Audrey like this (with her own opinions). He then realizes he barely knows anything about Audrey. He doesn't love, or dream about her. But he did have this dream about this purple haired girl, Mal
Ben is getting his second chance. His redo. It is going pretty well. Better than Ben expected. Ben read all the papers because he loved to read, just like his mother. After reading all of them he came with simple solutions. When it came to the meeting, they send Grumpy, the dwarf. The meeting was about sidekicks being mad because they think the prince and princesses are getting all the spotlight, and they don't get anything. Ben was a little nervous because Grumpy can be well . . . grumpy. But, Grumpy loved all of Ben's decisions and on top of that, he gave him a compliment.
