Once upon a time there was a pet named Camel. Camel lived with a family of humans. The humans took good care of Camel and Camel loved the humans. Camel's favorite human was the boy of the famiy.
Camel's humans were shepherds who had sheep. They protected the sheep from a pack of wolves who liked to have sheep for dinner. The wolves were very smart and fast. A lot of times, the humans didn't see the wolves coming until it was too late. This made Camel sad. He thought about how he could help the humans, especially his boy.
He had an idea. If he put the boy on his back, the boy would be able to see farther and see the wolves coming sooner. Maybe that would give the humans enough time to save the sheep. But Camel worried he still was not tall enough. Camel thought if he had a bump on his back, he could get the boy up high enough to see the wolves coming.
Camel prayed to God to give him a big bump on this back that the boy could stand on. God was very impressed that Camel wanted to help his human family so much. He gave Camel a bump on his back.
From then on, the boy would stand on Camel's back to look out for wolves coming to take the sheep. The shepherds never lost another sheep.
