Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Steve, honey the TV just turned off!
  • Omg! What is that? Is it a meteor?
  • Conflict
  • I THINK IT WAS YOU STEVE!!! YOUR'E THE ONE COMMUNICATING TO THE ALIENS!
  • C'mon now, don't turn on each other. We can't be a mob.
  • Rising Action
  • Is anyone else power off?
  • My car ain't workin!
  • This story takes place on Maple Street, a typical small town in America. The residents see a flash and think it's a meteor. It seems to stop all things from working: cars, telephones, and radios.
  •  Rising Action
  • Oh no... maybe he's on to something
  • Tommy, Steve's son, stirred up a lot of trouble by sharing his alien conspiracy theory that he read in one of his comic books. After this, all the neighbors started pointing fingers, and ignored Steve's advice, "Don't be a mob, now."
  • Climax
  • EVERYBODY WE GOT TO SETTLE DOWN! No one is an alien!
  • Everything in the neighborhood starts turning off. For example, radios, cars, and basically any technology. This is what starts the suspicion, and starts the drama and blaming.
  • Resolution
  • The plan was to scare them, so they can fight with each other, instead of us.
  • Tommy tells a story about alien planets sending down aliens that look like humans, sound like humans, and act like humans.  Instead of just being a ridiculous conspiracy, people actually start believing this hoax and start pointing fingers.
  • I read this story that was like this,  where aliens sent down people who looked and sounded like everyone else.
  • After the story that Tommy tells, everything gets a lot worse. People are chasing people, throwing rocks, screaming at the top of their lungs, pointing fingers, even killing somebody.
  • Your'e the first to blame Charlie, so I think it's you.
  • I'm telling you folks! The alien has to be Steve!
  • The shot then pans to two aliens looking of the town. They're explaining how they just had to scare them a little, with the meteor and the lost power. The aliens explain that after that, the neighbors would start fighting each other, instead of the aliens having to fight them.
  • Well it worked!
