#### Storyboard Text

• hey i need to get a TV because my last one broke
• Ok lets go get one the only thing is that they cost a lot of money
• ok the TV store should be up here soon and my TV stand is 5 feet long so i need to get a TV thats bottom is 5 feet long
• no you idiot you measure the TV diagonally the only thing you know is how far we are
• look there it is the only thing is that we have to measure the height length and distance how do we do that
• ok well to find that stuff we have to use Pythagorean's theorem its simple A squared + B squared = c squared
• ok so if the height is 9 feet the length is 12 feet then what is the diagonal
• well to find the diagonal we have to do A squared + B squared = c squared
• ok so 9x9 is 81 + 12x12 which is 144 81+144= 225 we would then find the square root of 225 which is 15 so c= 15 so the diagonal length of the TV is 15 squared
• no problem now you know for when you buy a TV
• thankyou so much for teaching me the Pythagorean theorem
