My favorite story we read this week is "The Letter" by Marjane Satrapi.
This story is about the author, Marjane, when she was a little girl. Her family had a maid named Mahri.
They are in Iran in the 1970's when social class is a big issue. Marjane's father talks to her about why Mahri and their neighbor could never be together after they sent eachother love letters for 6 months.
You have to stay within your social class.
Marhi was very sad, and Marjane was mad, so they went to protest agianst social classes.
No social class!
It shouldn'd matter!
I think it is very cool that Marjane was fighting for what she beileved in even though the social class issue didn't effect her as much as it did other people.
