  • Pre-Revolutionary France was less of an empire but a jigsaw puzzle of land with a king ruling over it all at the Time of the revolution the French were in terrible dept from wars and King Louis XVI's luxurious life at Versailles. It was also gripped by an unfair class system. Something was bound to happen
  • The King of France, King Louis XVI, Has brought France into major dept. He was forced to call the Estates General, a group of representatives from all 3 Estates. The King wouldn't listen to the 3rd Estates reps and they left to make a new government. The King wouldn't give them a room to hold a meeting, so they found a open indoor tennis court and they swore an oath to their new Goverment
  • The Reign of Terror was a time period of darkness and death. It was a political battle between the Jacobins and the Girondans that resulted with anybody that didn't think like a certain faction getting beheaded by a guillotine
  • The Storming of Bastille was a significant event in the history of France. This took place in the afternoon of July 14, 1789. The rioters broke into the prison of Bastille to get guns and ammo. The tore the place apart brick by brick.
