Here we are introduced to a sickly woman with a heart condition named Mrs. Mallard. Her cousin Josephine breaks the news to her that her husband had recently been in an accident at work and had passed away. As she heard those words she than became over whelmed with a paralyzing fear. She wept in sadness as she thought her husband was "killed".
Crisis
I'm home.
After coming to terms with her husbands death Mrs. Mallard starts to feel conflicted. Her conflict is internal and she debates if her husbands death is really that horrible. She than peers out the window looking at the sky and describing it with much detail. With this new found sense of freedom she is ready to live a long life.
Climax/ Falling Action
AHHHHHH!
Her cousin Josephine knocks on the door worried that she will become sick if she is not calmed down. Little dose Josephine know that Mrs. Mallard s filled to the brim with the elixer of life., and is ready too take on the world with her new found freedom by her side. With Richards at the bottom of the steps they see the front door open.
Brently Mallard than enter the house worn and dirty from his hardy day at work. He was no where near the occurance of the accident. He was unaware that there was even an accident to begin with.
With Brently Mallard entering the house Mrs. Mallard was in utter shock and her heart problems got the better of her. As she toppeled to the floor Richard jumped in front of her to sheild Brently Mallards eyes for the scene
